Atle was a 546-pound Computer Executive when he met the girl of his dreams who happened to be a weight-loss counselor. She told him to call her when he lost 100 pounds. He went on the Cambridge Diet, closely monitored by his doctor, and lost 308 pounds. Atle’s doctor found that he was also suffering from high blood pressure and late onset diabetes. His weight loss had the added benefit of reversing his hypertension and diabetes symptoms. Atle’s story was told in the National Enquirer on October 7, 1997, where he was pictured with his beautiful bride at their wedding.
